My name is Roger - I am a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, crime scene investigator, husband, and father of four. I’ve spent my life in the thick of chaos - from chasing drug smugglers in the high seas, to walking through blood soaked crime scenes to navigating betrayal and emotional warfare in my own home.

For nearly a decade, I served in the Coast Guard as a Machinery Technician (MK), Boarding Officer, and advanced shipboard firefighter. I stood post on the .50 cal gun team, M240 Bravo bow gunner, and lead law enforcement boardings. I learned what it meant to keep calm under pressure. After I was honorably discharged, I continued serving my community as a Crime Scene Investigator with the Gainesville Police Department. I've seen just about everything there is to see. I've worked scenes involving suicide, drug overdoses, decomposed deaths, homicides, etc.

But my real training ground wasn't the job. It was my marriage, fatherhood, and my relationship with Jesus. All have guided me, refined me, and made me the man I am today. Our story hasn't been easy - I’ve experienced betrayal, emotional storms, and hard resets. But I’ve learned that strength isn’t about having all the answers - its about showing up with integrity, consistency and love when things get messy.

I understand people who are exhausted but refuse to quit. I understand the weight of responsibility, the silence of carrying too much, and the burnout from saying, “yes” to more when you’re already drowning.

That’s why I created Hold Fast Coaching - to walk with people who are done pretending, done escaping, and ready to lead their own lives. My coaching is built on truth, grit, and real-world leadership - not abstract theory or empty motivation.

If you’re in a storm, I am not here to rescue you. I am here to teach you how to find and rescue yourself.
